  Join this small group private shore excursion from the port of Livorno to Pisa and Florence to visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Florence’s Duomo and the Basilica of Santa Croce. When you disembark from your cruise ship a friendly, local driver will collect you in his new air-conditioned mini-bus to begin your shore excursion. It is only a 30 minute drive to the first stop in Pisa where you will have time by yourself to wander around Pisa visiting some of its top attractions: the Cathedral, the Baptistery and not forgetting that ever important photo with the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Back on the mini-bus for the hour-long drive to Florence; a scenic ride through the beautiful hills of Tuscany. You will stop at the Piazzale Michelangelo to get your first, panoramic view of the splendid Renaissance city of Florence. You will be driven to the centre of Florence to explore it’s numerous architectural gems. You will visit the Church of Santa Croce where many famous Italians are buried including Michelangelo and Galileo. You shall also take a stroll towards the River Arno to see the Ponte Vecchio. No tour of Florence is complete without seeing Florence’s Duomo that is crowned by Brunelleschi’s Dome, the Baptistery with its magnificent bronze doors and Giotto’s Bell Tower. You will have some free time to perhaps visit a museum, go window-shopping or enjoy a quiet drink at one of the many cafes and watch the world go by! Unfortunately the tour must end. • A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
• If you wish to visit any special attraction in Florence such as the Accademia with Michelangelo's David, you should send us a notice after booking and we will try to include it if tickets a re available with extra charge. However, it is often not possible to change the itinerary for time constraints and lack of tickets available.
