This is an absolutely unmissable 2.5-hour kid-friendly tour of one of the finest and most popular museums in New York, and your expert child oriented guide will make sure that you and the whole family will learn a great deal about the exhibits on display and have a lot of fun into the bargain. You will meet your guide right outside the main entrance to the Metropolitan Museum, and from their you will commence what promises to be both a highly educational and thoroughly enjoyable experience! Your guide will bring you face to face with some of the finest works of art in the museum. The Roman and Greek collection, for example, date back to the founding of the museum, and although they focus predominantly on exhibits from ancient Greece and the Roman Empire, they feature a wide range of cultures and styles. The Greek and Roman galleries also feature a range of classical wall paintings and reliefs from various periods. Then there is the American Art collection, featuring works of art from the 18th century through to the early 20th century, while the Modern Art section features the work of predominantly American and European artists, including Picasso, Jasper John and Jackson Pollock.
