What to expect
Stop 1: Hai Van Pass (Duration: 15 minutes)
Your journey begins at 7 AM when our basic English-speaking driver picks you up from your hotel or homestay in Hoi An. As you travel towards Hue, you'll stop at the breathtaking Hai Van Pass to capture stunning panoramic photos. (Please note: Drivers are not tour guides and have limited English. Upon arrival in Hue, a knowledgeable local guide will lead the city tour.)
Stop 2: Lang Co Beach (Duration: 10 minutes)
At the foot of Hai Van Pass, you'll pause at Lang Co Beach—an ideal spot to admire the coastal beauty and snap some memorable photos.
Stop 3: Thien Mu Pagoda (Duration: 1 hour)
Arriving in Hue around 10 AM, you’ll meet your local guide and start the Hue City Private Tour. Begin with a scenic dragon boat ride along the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s most sacred and picturesque temples, built in 1601. Your guide will share fascinating myths, including the legendary love curse.
Stop 4: Hue Imperial City (The Citadel) (Duration: 2 hours)
Next, delve into the grandeur of the Nguyen Dynasty by exploring the Imperial City, Royal City, and Forbidden City—the former residence and workplace of 13 emperors. Listen to captivating stories about emperors, concubines, and eunuchs as you wander through these historic sites.
