The Signoria public square always has been the political center and the heart of the civil life in Florence. You will discover the history of the OLD PALACE (Florence city hall), Uffizi Gallery, La loggia della Signoria (also called Loggia dei Lanzi), a real open-air with several bronze and marble statues (Perseus, Medici lions, the Rape of Polyxena), the Savonarola Memorial Plaque Also you can admire The Neptun Fontain, the copy of the David Statue and discover the reasons behind the popularity of the David statue by Michelangelo.

2Piazza della Repubblica
Piazza della Repubblica (Republic Square) is the ancient Roman forum, then Old Market and now “salotto buono” of Florence. You will discover the historical development of the square starting from the Forum of Florentia, marked by the Column of Abundance to the present appearance. Today is home to the historical Caffé Gilli, Caffé Paskowski and Caffé delle Giubbe Rosse which were meeting points for many of the city's artists and writers in the past.

The “OLD BRIDGE” is one of the city’s most illustrious landmarks. You will be overwhelmed by so much beauty around you. The guide will surprising you telling the history of the wooden-shuttered goldsmiths’ shops, that line both sides of it, and the Vasari Corridor that runs over it (a private aerial walkway built in 1561 so the Medici family could move between the Palazzo Pitti and the Palazzo Vecchio, safe from risk of assassination in the streets below).
