With the help of our chef you will learn the history behind the cacao, the origin, the use of chocolate and cacao in native cultures of Mexico. You will also learn the traditional recipe to make chocolate and the use of chocolate in traditional cuisine. We´ll be toasting cacao beans, grinding, making chocolate bars and then will use chocolate in making a simple mole and hot chocolate.

What to expect

During the class there will be an explanation on the use of chocolate in small communities and the importance of chocolate in Mexico. We´ll be toasting cacao beans, grinding them and making chocolate bars that later on will be using to make a simple mole and hot chocolate.
