  Sorrento

  Sorrento is one of Italy's most famous resort towns. Placed on a perch high above the Mediterranean, it is like a balcony over the sea with views that extend from the island of Procida across the Gulf to Naples and Mt. Vesuvius. The city sits on the bluff that ends abruptly at a sheer cliff that plummets straight down to the sea. It has, for more than two millennia, enjoyed the status of seaside destination, starting with the Greeks. It came into its own as a summer destination during the Roman era, when emperors Agrippa, Tiberius and Augustus had their splendid villas here.

  Tenuta Sorrentino Vesuvio

  Wine tour will occur around Vesuvius Volcano where there is a breathtaking wine yard where they grow particular grapes in order to make a great wine known as lacrima de zChristi which means the tears of Christ. This is thanx to the volcanic soil. You can test different types of wine as well eat authentic italian food. This is an additional cost that starts from E35 per person or more depending what you choose from the menu. Includes 4 different wine tasting. ‎

  Pompeii Archaeological Park

  Pompeii city of the Roman Empire, was founded in the 6th century BC. and destroyed together with Herculaneum, Oplonti and Stabia, during the eruption of Vesuvius in the year 79 AD. Buried under several meters of volcanic sediment, preserved from bad weather and looting, the city fell into oblivion for fifteen centuries. The state of conservation of the ancient Roman city is however remarkable and the excavations undertaken since the 18th century will bring to light a thriving city, a precious testimony of the urban planning and civilization of ancient Rome. The archaeological site has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1997, together with Herculaneum. Ticket is 18pp- We recommend the guide in Pompeii
