This is the most southwestern tip in Africa and also the meeting place of two ocean currents: the cold Benguela and the warm Agulhas currents. Most of our visitors enjoy the short hike to the Cape Point Lighthouse from the Cape of Good Hope. However, should you wish to skip the short hike, you are welcome to use the Flying Dutchman Funicular to get to the top. Next stop will be at the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point Lighthouse. Here visitors will learn more about the Bartholomew Dias navigational beacon and the Vasco Da Gama navigational beacon. Both beacons have been crafted out of stone and painted white with a cross at the top of each one. A visit to the Cape of Good Hope is not complete without a photo behind the name board at the Cape of Good Hope.
