The Catacombs of St. Callixtus, stretching over 12 miles (20 km), form the oldest and best-preserved underground burial network in Rome. Established between 198 and 217 AD, they became the first collective Christian cemetery in the city.
Next, you will visit the Catacombs of St. Sebastian. Built above a pagan sanctuary, it was later dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul before taking the name of St. Sebastian in the 4th century. As you resurface, take in the peaceful beauty of the Appian Way, surrounded by lush greenery and timeless ruins. Before heading back to Civitavecchia, breathe in the unique atmosphere of this ancient Roman road, where history quite literally lies beneath your feet.

Pickup time will be approximately 08.50 AM, although due to the traffic conditions, you may have to wait 5–10 minutes more • Pickup from Civitavecchia Port: our meeting point is “The TERMINAL CRUISE SHUTTLE BUS” located in Largo della Pace/via Prato del Turko 3. It is the meeting point and last stop of the port free shuttle bus (that picks up you from the boat). The ride should take between 10 - 15 minutes, depending on where your ship is berthed. From the shuttle-bus drop off area you have to exit from the port and look for the staff with the MyloveItaly – My Italy logo".
