    Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park

    This is the last and final resting place of the first president of the Republic of Ghana. It houses a curious collection of Nkrumah's personal belongings, including the smock he wore while declaring Ghana's independence, as well as copies of personal correspondence and numerous photos of him and various world leaders.

    Black Star Square is a site for Ghana's Independence Day parade, which falls on the 6th of March every year. The Independence Arch in Accra, Ghana, contains monuments to Ghana's independence struggle, including the Independence Arch, Black Star Gate, and the Liberation Day Monument. The Independence Square is the second largest City Square in the world after the Tiananmen Square in Beijing, China.

    Makola Market

    Accra’s largest open-air market which overflows with goods, people, scents and sounds, hustle and bustle. It is the best place to absorb the atmosphere of a West African market. It is quite an amazing place with lots of very narrow alleyways and women walking about with huge bowls and other packages on their heads. Good place to shop for most things but very crowded most times. Get almost everything you need for your home at reasonable rate. Your guide to show you the more interesting parts of the market and find some cool vantage spots for excellent photo opportunities. Plan to spend the day, there is plenty to see.

    National Museum of Ghana

    At the national museum of Ghana, we will see a display on things that explains the Ghanaian culture and traditions. Some displays are chiefs' regalia; indigenous Ghanaian musical instruments; gold-weights; beads; traditional textiles, stools and pottery; exhibits on traditional dance, agriculture and iron making; exhibits on the slave trade in Ghana; Senfu masks from La Cote d' Ivoire; Zulu wooden figures and bead-ware from different cultures.

    Drive to Aburi Botanical Gardens

    Today we will visit the Aburi Botanical Gardens where we learn about different type of African herbs and plant, the origin, age and medicinal properties of plants and it important to the society.

    Pan Africanism memorial centre. Here we will learn about WEB Du Bois. An American sociologist, socialist and historian.

    Elmina is Ghana's top most historical town. We will go on a walking tour and visit most of the historical buildings. We will also visit the 17th century Dutch Cemetery, the Posuban Shrine and the Asafo post.

    Rest and Relaxation & Naming Ceremony

    We will have rest and relaxation today in the morning. Later in the day, we will visit the chief palace about the traditions of the local people. We will also have a typical naming ceremony where we will be given names base on the day we are born as it is a custom in the Ghanaian culture and dressed in a African clothing.

    Drive to Kumasi via Assin Manso Slave River and Market

    Assin Manso

    This is the final and the last point the slaves had their last bath before taken to the castles and were shipped to the unknown world. We will experience the reverential walk of return where we go through the process of reconnecting back to the motherland. We will talk a walk on the very soil to the slave river where our ancestors had their last bath. The walk to the river will be done bare foot which signifies connecting ourselves to the motherland and paying respect to our ancestors who took that journey and all lost souls. We will also visit the memorial wall of return where we will have names written on the wall to show sign of being able to return back home.
