On this private tour you'll get to go out in the wilderness after dark with skis or snowshoes and hunt for the magical Northern Lights in the Pyhätunturi area! Skiing or snowshoeing in the dark wilderness is an unforgettable experience and with the right conditions you might see the Northern Lights in the night sky.
During the tour you’ll get to enjoy warm drinks and snacks/foods made from local ingredients by open fire. The tour is guided by an experienced local guide

What to expect
During the tour we will visit a traditional campsite and you will get to enjoy complimentary hot beverages and light meal/snacks made from local ingredients by cozy campfire.
On this tour we will be skiing/snowshoeing in a relatively easy wilderness terrain in the Pyhätunturi Area. You can choose between Snowshoes or OAC skin based skis which are designed for wilderness skiing. The adjustable bindings in snowshoes or skis fit to most winter or hiking boots.
Earlier experience of snowshoes or wilderness skiing is not needed as your guide will teach you the correct technique.
Please keep in mind: since the Northern lights are a natural phenomenon seeing them or the vibrancy of them can’t be guaranteed during the tour.
