On this tour, we will start our journey from Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta is located in the center of Java Island. In Yogyakarta, you can visit the real Javanese Culture which you can see from the local people here and also the places that you will visit. Prambanan Temple, Sultan Palace, Malioboro Street, Kali Adem in Mount Merapi, and also the neighborhood of Borobudur temple located in Magelang Town, it’s 2 hours away from Yogyakarta.
After Yogyakarta, we will invite you to try the executive class of our train from Yogyakarta to Surabaya (4 hours ride). From the window, you can see the rice fields, local villages, and also small towns after Yogyakarta. Surabaya is the capital of East Java, East java hosts the 2 best places to visit during the trip, Mount Bromo, and Ijen Crater.

Borobudur temple tour will start from the airport/train station in Yogyakarta, our staff will meet you at the airport/train station then we will drive from Yogyakarta to Borobudur temple area for about 1,5 hours, Upon your arrival in Borobudur temple area, you will be staying overnight there before you do Borobudur sunrise tour tomorrow morning.

Borobudur temple is best seen at dawn when the air is fresh and full of birdsong. As the mist begins to lift, the sun scales the surrounding volcanoes and terraced fields and highlights the stone reliefs and the many faces of Buddha. Glimpsing Borobudur for the first time is often a deeply felt emotional experience. Borobudur sunrise tour offers a different experience where participants were given a special pass to enter the monument early in the morning at approximately 4:30 am before public visitors and visitors have to walk from the hotel to Borobudur with a pre-dawn stroll through the dewy grass of a lush tropical garden. A super scenery and a very beautiful morning at Borobudur temple could be seen when the sun would appear from the horizon. A truly impressive experience!

Around 9:00 am, our staff will meet you at your hotel for doing the next tour, that is city tour around Yogyakarta city. We will be visiting Prambanan Temple for the first stop and we will have a lunch in the local restaurant in Yogyakarta area.

After having breakfast around 6:00 am/10:30 am, our staff will pick you up and then go to Tugu Train Station, because the train leaves Yogyakarta around 6:45 am/11:30 am and arrives at Surabaya Gubeng Train Station around 10:45 am/ 15:30

After arriving in Surabaya Gubeng train station, our staff will meet you at Surabaya Gubeng Train Station then continue our trip to Mt. Bromo area and stop on the way for having lunch in the local restaurant. This trip will take about 3 – 4 hours and upon your arrival in Mt Bromo, having dinner and stay overnight at Lava View Lodge or similar hotel for enjoyable stay.

Mount Bromo tour will be started around at 3:30 AM (when you come to Mount Bromo on the weekend, we have to start the tour earlier), the jeep will bring you to the most famous viewpoint on Mount Bromo area. That is Penanjakan hill, from the hill we can see the best sunrise in East Java with mountains and volcanoes as a background. Afterward, the jeep will continue your adventure holiday to reach the sea of sands in Mount Bromo area. We will stop at the parking area then you will cross the sea of sands by riding a horse or on foot (it is optional) till reaching the stairs at the slope of Mount Bromo where it will lead you to reach the peak of Mt. Bromo. After enjoying the volcanic activity on the top of Mount Bromo, you have to go back to your jeep then the jeep will bring you back to the hotel for breakfast, take shower, pack up, loading bags into our car.

Then, we will continue our trip to to the Hotel in the area of Ijen Crater Banyuwangi Town) for about 5-6 hours. In this route, we will pass rural landscape, small cities, rice fields, plantations, and beach. Lunch will be served on the way at the local restaurant. About at late afternoon or in the early evening, we will be reaching your hotel in Ijen Crater area which is only an hour away from Ijen Crater. You will be staying overnight here before you enjoy Ijen Crater trekking on the next morning.

Ijen crater tour will start at 5:00 am, our car will bring us to the village of Licin and then continue to the slope of Ijen Crater, you will be passing through the plantations and rainforest. This is one of few remaining on the island of Java with giant ferns, plants & big trees. This journey takes approximately an hour from the hotel. Arriving at the parking area of Ijen Crater, about 1 until 1.5 hours will be required to hike Ijen Crater. Along the walking path, you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air and bird’s singing. Upon your arrival at the peak of Ijen Crater with an altitude of about 2385 mAsl. You will be amazed at the enchanting panorama of Ijen Crater; it has the lake of acid water where the water changes to be turquoise color. The view will be so picturesque when you take the photo from above the crater. OPTIONAL PROGRAM; If the weather is good enough and you still have good condition, you can take Ijen blue fire tour at Ijen Crater but you are required to leave the Hotel or Homestay around 1:00 AM or Midnight. After enjoying the breakfast at the Hotel, we will transfer you to ferry harbour and take an hour sailing to reach ferry harbour in Bali island. Upon your arrival there, you will be welcomed again by our Balinese driver who is ready to escort you back to your hotel in Bali. - Ijen Crater is now open as usual and safe to visit. However, due to natural conditions, the blue fire is temporarily not visible. Please remember to always follow safety guidelines during your visit.
- Important News from Borobudur Temple There will be no sunrise tour anymore on the top of the temple and no one is allowed to visit the top of the temple as well. From now on, we can only see the BOROBUDUR TEMPLE at the bottom of the temple and for sunrise, we will go to Setumbu Hill. Good news: There is a trial to climb up to the top floor but with special shoes and additional cost for it. it's still not so sure when this trial stops or continues.
