The Mt.Meru is located at Arusha Region in Tanzania. Which lies 3 degree south, 36 degrees east of the Equator. Geology, mountain type Stratovolcanic. It last eruption was around October to December 1910(minor Eruption).The elevation of Mt.Meru is 4566m/15220ft above sea level. The first ascent to Mt, Meru was Fritz Jäger in 1904 before the last eruption. And it is located 70km west of Mt.Kilimanjaro. You can have spectacular view from each 2 mountains when it clear sky. Also it is ninth or tenth highest Mt, in Africa, died volcano.
The fertile land slopes rise above surrounding Savanna grassland support forest that hosts Wildlife, such as Elephants, Birds, Buffaloes and manks.Now it under Arusha National park.

Pick up from hotel drive via Moshi road about 1hr about 35 km. First gate Ngongongare for registration, payment. Drive again in the park, one the way to second gate, you will see lot of Animals, eg, Elephants, Zebras, Antelope and warthog. Second gate Mommela gate starting point, 1650m/5500ft above sea level. Two option’s Long route and short route. The first day start with long route about 12kms/7hrs, through the Rainforest big trees, common name, east African yellow wood. With Fun Fig Tree lunch point. Continue walking for acclimatisation below the ash cone create 2700m/9000ft, from here descent to Miriakamba hut 2500m/8331ft. Overnight and have dinner.

Wake up to breakfast after you start climbing 4½hrs/5km via rainforest, on the way you will have to see different Flora and Fauna. Arrive to Saddle hut 3500m/11670ft have hot lunch, after you rest, for the little Meru ascent 1½go and back,3801m/12670ft, Back for dinner and have short sleep, midnight work up, have tea with biscuits,. Climbing the top will take 6½hrs/6km to the Summit Socialist peak 4566m/15220ft, to see beautiful sunrise, shining on the top of Mt.Kilimanjaro. Descending will take 2hrs back to Saddle hut.

within the same day, after sleep, you have lunch and keep descending down about 3hrs to Miriakamba hut again to overnight and have dinner after long long walk.

Wake up to breakfast and Cook give you a lunch box, start descending down to the Momela gate, via short route, about 3½hrs/4km.At the gate sign out and have Certificate if you manage to conquest the summit. After you say goodbye to your team who make you dreams come true. Drive back to the hotel for more plan you have
