Begin outside one of Salem's most recognizable historic homes, dating to 1668. Hear stories surrounding the mansion's connection to Nathaniel Hawthorne, its literary tales of curses and the supernatural traditions that have made it a natural part of Salem's darker history. The surrounding streets take on a distinctly atmospheric character during Salem's Halloween season. The mansion itself is closed during most evening tours so this stop is exterior-only.
