At 5:00 am, with your packed Breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. At 7:00 am, arrive at the park headquarters for registration and briefing about the dos and don'ts for gorilla trekking. Thereafter, you will be assigned park rangers and embark on a guided trek through the dense forests to encounter a family of mountain gorillas.

Lake Kivu Exploration

The day will be spent discovering the stunning scenery and vibrant, rich culture surrounding Lake Kivu. Upon arrival, you will embark on an enriching boat trip across the pristine waters of Lake Kivu as you witness the breathtaking hues of the African sunset painting the sky and reflecting on the calm waters – a perfect way to unwind after an eventful day. Our boat excursion will take you to explore some of the fascinating islands scattered across the lake. Each island offers unique perspectives and insights into the local ecosystem and culture. Enjoy a delightful lunch at a scenic location by Lake Kivu, savoring fresh local cuisine while soaking in the picturesque surroundings. ou will depart early at 5:00 AM for Nyungwe Forest National Park, a destination celebrated for its significant biodiversity and offering the must-do activity of chimpanzee trekking.
