Our guide will meet you after your breakfast for briefing. you'll drive to the genocide memorial a site that was established to commemorate people that were massacred in the unspeakable civil war. The people that succumbed to death at the course of this tragic man slaughter were concealed in mass graves and this particular museum is in commemoration at the location of the mass graves.
The Kigali Genocide Memorial commemorates the 1994 Rwandan genocide. The remains of over 250,000 people are interred there. There is a visitor center for students and others wishing to understand the events leading up to the genocide that occurred in Rwanda in 1994. The Centre is a permanent memorial to those who fell victim to the genocide and serves as a place where the bereaved could bury their family and friends. The Centre is managed and run by the Aegis Trust on behalf of the National Commission for the Fight Against Genocide.
Upon briefing, you’ll commence the trek with a guide in the forest in pursuit of the Mountain Gorillas. You will trek through the forest, slashing at the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track gorillas. The time taken to track the Gorillas is unpredictable as it depends on their movements, where they find food and shelter. However, it can take three quarters of the day and 90% chances of viewing them.

Golden monkeys are known to have unique characters and are a rare species that are endangered at the moment and they are currently found in the Virunga Mountains in Rwanda. They are easily recognized due to the yellow patches that can be seen all over their bodies. The Golden monkeys are also known as ‘the Old world monkey’ and the only way to separate these primates from others is by their noses. There is a unique character about the golden monkeys and that is most of the monkeys have their nostrils pointing to the sides but if you look closely at the golden monkeys, their nostrils face upwards.
