Capoeira is both a beautiful art form and a powerful type of combat with a unique and fascinating history rooted in the African slave trade. During the week you will learn not only the physical movements to take part in a roda (meaning ‘circle’ or ‘wheel’ in Portuguese) where the game or fight of Capoeira takes place, but also about the culture, history, music and rhythms of this incredible discipline.

When you’re not working on your Capoeira game you will receive expert surf instruction from our talented surfing team whether you’re an absolute beginner or you’ve been surfing for years!

The camp is open to all abilities of surfer and capoeira practitioners. Our experienced instructors will ensure all classes are fun and challenging!

What to expect

Join us for this incredible opportunity to combine the exhilaration of surfing Morocco’s wild and deserted Atlantic coast with highly skilled instruction in the Afro-Brazilian dance-like martial art of Capoeira. The camp includes:

- Transfer to and from airport (Essaouira, Agadir or Marrakech)
- Accommodation: Feru (7 nights)
- 2 hour surf lesson per day (6 days)
- Surfboard & wetsuit hire (6 days)
- Capoeira training unit (6 days)

There is never a dull moment on the Capoeira camp. Between the Capoeira and surf, there is plenty of opportunity to explore the local area, take in the cultural highlights of Essaouira and of course kickback, relax and enjoy the sunshine!
