The transfer is available only for accommodation with reception: If you you stay in a temporary rental or in an establishment without reception, you we will indicate a nearby meeting point for departure.

What to expect

After a short transfer of 20 minutes from the accommodation, we arrive at the starting point, where the guide gives the first indications.

The trail crosses the Lasifashaj Valley and, depending on the season, we travel through turbulence, stretches of forest and rocky sectors. Always accompanied by the Emerald River, which guides the way to our destination. The route is clear, marked and moderately difficult, ideal for those who want to enjoy nature without technical demands.

After two hours of walking, we arrive at the Emerald Lagoon, surrounded by mountains and fed by the Ojo del Albino Glacier. In summer, its emerald green color is dazzled by the suspended sediments that come from the glacier. In winter, the lagoon freezes and covers with snow, giving away a completely different landscape but just as magical.

While admiring this unique setting, we recharge with a box lunch included. We begin the return by the same path, closing this adventure with a new look at the forest and the mountains of Fueguinas. The vehicle will be waiting for us for the return to Ushuaia, with the feeling of having lived a must-see classic of Patagonia.
