The tour departs by bus from Ushuaia along National Route No. 3 after picking up passengers from their hotels. Once the Beagle Channel is left behind, the giant gaze of Mounts Olivia and Five Brothers presents itself. Then the Carbajal valley formed by an immense turbal, which is exploited for commercial purposes. Following the way you will see on both sides of the route, several valleys where in winter different activities are carried out (such as sleds pulled by Huskies, snowshoe hikes, cross-country skiing, snowmobiles).

Then we will visit the Haruwen Winter Center, home of the famous snow sculpture festival, where the world’s southernmost gin craft distillery is also located. There we will know your production process and, if you wish, you can participate in an optional tasting. Next door, we will explore a small museum of antique motorcycles, which pays tribute to the pioneers of the route in Patagonia.

Arriving at the highest point for crossing the Andes mountain range in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, we will be in front of the Garibaldi Pass (the only place in the country where crossing the Andes mountain range does not imply crossing a border, we continue through the same national territory). This is a panoramic point with spectacular views of the Escondido and Fagnano Lakes and the old National Route No. 3 in a setting of Andean Patagonian forest, a landscape of impressive beauty.

We will reach Lake Fagnano, where we will descend again to appreciate and understand the enormous magnitude of the lake, one of the largest in South America, more than 100 km long and 7 km wide. On the way back to Ushuaia, we will stop at one of the winter resorts and have time to have lunch with a typical dish of the area: El Cordero Fueguino a la estaca (lunch not included). After dessert, there will be a moment of relaxation and then we will resume the last 20 km towards Ushuaia, arriving around 4 pm.
