Minneriya National Park
Spanning a 15-acre estate that is located around 10 kilometres to the northwest of the town of Kegalle, the Millennium Elephant Foundation (MEF) is a charity that rescues and subsequently cares for captive Asian elephants in Sri Lanka. It raises money for its activities through tourist fees and volunteer programs. The funds it raises are then used to improve the conditions and care it provides for its elephants, as well as to run educational programs for local farmers and their families, raising awareness of the importance of protecting local wild elephants.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic
The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha. During puja (offerings or prayers), the heavily guarded room housing the tooth is open to devotees and tourists. However, you don’t actually see the tooth. It’s kept in a gold casket shaped like a dagoba (stupa), which contains a series of six dagoba caskets of diminishing size.

Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden
The Nuwara Eliya tea factory that called Damro Labookellie Tea Centre (former Mackwoods) and is the oldest tea centre in Sri Lanka. Their tea bushes are replanted every 100 years on over 5,000 hectares of lush tea plantations. In this tea factory, they make white and black tea, while the green tea is processed in another tea factory and then sent to Damro. All the different kinds of teas have different processes of making and you will be able to learn all about these processes if you do a tea factory tour.

The Nine Arch Bridge in Ella is on the Demodara loop and spans 91 meters at a height of 24m. The Galle Fort is the largest remaining fortress in Asia constructed by any European imperial powers. Hikkaduwa Beach
Hikkaduwa is one of the best surfing spots in Sri Lanka, offering a clear hot water base. The waves vary in size from 4 to 11 feet. Surfing in the Hikkaduwa area is fairly well known and gets the best surfing during its dry season, which is from November to March. There are 4 hotspots in Hikkaduwa. Scuba diving and diving in clear waters are a major past time along this stretch and is the most ecological way to see the colorful fish that dart around. KOSGODA Turtle Conservation and Research Centre
This is an experience that is fun, meaningful, and awe-inspiring. These sea turtles swim thousands of miles during their lifetime, and when they’re ready to reproduce, they come back to the same beach where they were born to lay their eggs. Their journey is truly remarkable, but sadly due to an increase in human activity, their population is dwindling. These hatcheries help balance the scales, thus giving the turtles a fighting chance.
