    Taj Mahal

    Agra Fort

    Agra Fort will be the next in your list. This huge fort is built by Emperor Akbar in 1565; this is made up of sandstones standing alongside with River Yamuna. Shah Jahan son Aurangzeb imprisoned him during the last eight year of his life in this fort, where from he could watch the tomb of his wife. . The maze of the courtyards, mosques & private chambers of the fort echo the story of the Mughal Empire.

    The Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb is one of the most impressive architectural wonders of Agra City. This monument is considered to be the inspiration behind the Taj Mahal.
