The Royal Palace of Caserta is a royal palace, with an adjoining park. It is the largest royal residence in the world by volume, the historical owners were the Bourbons of Naples.
The Palace was wanted by the King of Naples Charles of Bourbon, who, taken by a competition with the French royalty and eager to donate structures to Naples such as to be able to play a role of capital city of European level.

Built by the architect Vanvitelli in 1752 at the request of the Bourbons to compete with the Palace of Versailles (Paris). UNESCO heritage. A professional private guide is highly recommended. The Cantina del Vesuvio, located on the low hills of the volcano, offer a spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples. The program is structured with a guided tour within the 4 hectares of the winery close to the archaeological site of Pompeii, among historical testimonies, vineyards and elegant cellar structures. The tour concludes with a tasting of varied wines and a traditional Neapolitan menu of dishes inspired by ancient Rome.
