Ride the Shinkansen, Japan's famous bullet train, to Kyoto and experience the ancient capital's 1,200 years of rich history. Recommended for those who do not have much time but still want to see Kyoto. This bus tour includes round-trip Shinkansen transportation, afternoon sightseeing tour of Kyoto with a National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter, and lunch. The meeting location for this tour is at Tourist Information Center Tokyo near Tokyo Station. An English-speaking tour conductor will guide you to the Shinkansen at Tokyo Station from Tokyo City i. Guides and other staff do not ride on the Shinkansen with tour participants. Upon arrival at Kyoto Station, another English-speaking staff will guide you to the lunch venue.

2Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo
Enjoy western-style lunch at a hotel. [2025] Lunch will be served as a semi-buffet. If you prefer a vegetarian menu, please make your request when booking. Only the main dish can be changed to a vegetarian option. [2026] Lunch will be updated to a vegetarian-friendly Western-style set menu. *Please note that requests for allergy-friendly meals, gluten-free meals, etc. or requests to remove or change ingredients due to personal preferences are not accepted.

JTB SUNRISE TOURS DESK KYOTO (Pass by)
After lunch, an English-speaking staff member will escort you to the JTB Sunrise Tours Desk at Kyoto Avanti. There, you may meet fellow travelers from other tours. Once everyone has gathered, you will board the tour bus together, marking the start of your journey.

3Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of some 40,000 inari-jinja shrines located all over Japan. The bright red Senbon Torii gates are a must-see attraction. Participants will walk from the parking lot to Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, about 15 min walk each way.

4Sanjusangendo Temple
Visit the world's longest wooden structure, housing 1,001 life-size statues of Buddhist Kannon deities dating back to the 13th century.

5Kiyomizu-dera Temple

Depart from Kyoto Station to Tokyo by Nozomi Shinkansen. Tour ends at Shin-Yokohama Station, Shinagawa Station, or Tokyo Station.
