    Sanssouci Palace

No other palace is more closely associated with Frederick the Great's personality than Sanssouci. The name itself, "Sanssouci" - meaning "without a care" - reflects the king's primary desire and guiding principle. This was his cherished retreat, a place where he found solace and companionship in the company of his dogs. Sanssouci was ultimately his favorite residence and sanctuary, especially during challenging times.
