The cooking class begins with a tour of one of Vietnam’s oldest running wet markets, Cho Ben Thanh where you are acquainted with traditional Vietnamese ingredients and spices, and how they are bought and sold. A Saigon’s most iconic market offers insight into how we procure meats and vegetables on a daily basis. Each visitor experiences firsthand the bustling wet markets that continue to be a part of Vietnamese people’s daily lives.
The second half of the course leads you back to our intimate classrooms at the institute, where each student is assigned a private cook station. Here, our lead chef provides you with all the necessary ingredients and instruction to create a full course of classic Vietnamese dishes. The class concludes with a convivial meal, where you sit down and are allowed time to enjoy your culinary creations!
