Arrival at the Montepulciano winery is scheduled for approximately 10:00 a.m. The visit begins with an in depth tour of the winery, featuring an introduction to typical local products and a guided tasting of four to five wines, each paired with bruschetta topped with locally produced extra virgin olive oil. The experience concludes with a guided tour of the underground cellar, led by a professional wine expert.
Arrival in Pienza, a town renowned for its Pecorino cheese. A quick visit of the city will be followed by free time for shopping. Pienza is famous not only for its Pecorino cheese, widely available in the many local shops—but also as the birthplace of Pope Paolo II. Born Enea Silvio Piccolomini in 1405 to a noble Sienese family, he remains one of the city's most distinguished historical figures.
After your visit to Pienza we will depart for the cheese farm in the beautiful area of Val d’Orcia. There you can have a tour of the factory where you will see the production of pecorino cheese and ricotta cheese. After the tour you can enjoy a light lunch with wine, and of course a selection of pecorino cheese. During your lunch time you can enjoy one of the best view of Orcia Valley from your table in the beautiful terrace.
Arrival in Montalcino while enjoying a beautiful drive of Val D’Orcia (Orcia Valley) with amazing Tuscany landscapes. We will then visit the Brunello winery where you can have the wine cellar tour with an explanation of the whole wine making process followed by wine tasting of five different types of the famous wines from this area.
