Begin an unforgettable trip through almost 7,500 square miles (12,000 km²) of fantastic landscapes of salt and surrealist landscapes of deserts and colored lagoons of the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve. The dazzling white mantle of the Salar de Uyuni resembles an immense glacier. In winter (dry season from May to October), when the surface hardens, geometric figures formed by the salt particles agglomerated into polygons appear. In summer (rainy season from November to March) the salt desert is transformed into a giant mirror that blends into the sky of the purest blue you've ever seen before.

    Salar de Uyuni

Enter the Salar by Colchani where we will see the salt processing and piles of salt, visit the hotel salt, eyes water and continue downtown to visit the Incahuasi Island of volcanic rock and giant cactus and a top that climb it becomes extraordinary viewpoint of the white salt plain.

    Tunupa Volcano

    Enjoy scenic stops along the way for carefully selected photo opportunities, capturing the unique beauty of the salt flats. We then continue north for several kilometers towards the majestic Tunupa Volcano. Along the way, you will visit the Coquesa community, home to the fascinating Aymara mummies preserved in volcanic caves. The journey continues to the Tunupa viewpoint, ascending by vehicle to high altitude, close to the crater. From here, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Uyuni Salt Flats in all their grandeur—an awe-inspiring perspective that showcases the true scale and beauty of this natural wonder.

We then continue towards Mala Mala Bay, located at the opposite side of the Salar, offering a quieter and more remote perspective of this vast landscape. From there, the journey leads us to the remarkable Galaxy Cave, an extraordinary site where you can observe ancestral burials and fascinating petrified cactus formations—an experience that beautifully blends nature, history, and mystery.

    Step visit with photo stops. To the south are Cañapa gaps, Stinking, Chiarkota, Honda and Ramadita, where large numbers of flamingos can be founded. Other birds, such as geese and Andean gulls accompany the flamingos in these lagoons flanked by snow-capped volcanoes that have a green skirt down (brava straw yareta and thola).

    We venture into a remote desert of sand and pebbles, where the landscapes unfold in beautiful natural tones, creating a striking and ever-changing scenery as we make our way deeper into the Altiplano.     Tayka del Desierto - Uyuni

    At dawn, we set out in search of the impressive Sol de Mañana Geysers, arriving at the first light of day when geothermal activity is at its most dramatic. This is the highest point of the route, at nearly 5,000 meters above sea level, where the air is crisp and the landscape feels otherworldly. You will witness steaming fumaroles and bubbling mud pools in shades of red, gray, and ochre—an extraordinary geothermal field where the earth seems alive beneath your feet. The journey then continues through the striking desert and Salar de Chalviri, a landscape of remarkable contrasts where white mineral deposits, ocher desert tones, and deep blue waters blend into a truly unique दृश्य. To complete this experience, there is the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing bath in the Polques Hot Springs, surrounded by this surreal and peaceful high-altitude environment.

We then stop for lunch near Laguna Colorada, one of the most extraordinary highlights of the journey. This striking red lagoon is the main nesting site for three species of flamingos, whose presence adds life and elegance to the scenery. The lagoon’s unique coloration comes from algae and plankton activated by sunlight and wind, which also influence the delicate pink tones of the flamingos’ plumage. A truly remarkable setting to enjoy lunch, surrounded by nature at its most vibrant and unique.
