The Columbia River Gorge takes the crown of the most magnificent views in America, and boy does it deserve it! At the western tip, Crown Point offers a jaw-dropping vantage point of the Columbia River as it slices through the Cascade mountains. Prepare to be dazzled by a cascade of waterfalls, including big names like Multnomah, Bridal Veil and Latourell falls, pouring down basalt cliffs lining the Historic Columbia River Highway. Hold tight, 'cause the scenery only gets more epic as you head east.

Nestled in the heart of Oregon, Multnomah Falls is like a heavenly creation, fed by secret underground streams from Larch Mountain. This ancient natural wonder, standing proud at 620 feet tall, is a two-stage waterfall. The upper section drops a whopping 542 feet into a sparkling pool, then takes another 69-foot dive to form a creek that flows into the Columbia River. No wonder it’s Oregon’s top natural attraction, luring over 2.5 million visitors each year from all corners of the globe! At the bottom of the falls, you’ll find the Historic Multnomah Falls Lodge, a top-notch day lodge that offers everything from a restaurant and gift shop to a snack and espresso bar, and even an educational center.

Prepare for a mouth-watering adventure! Once you’ve soaked up the beauty of Multnomah Falls, your Tour Guide will whisk you to a local Hood River restaurant where you can peek around the downtown area or grab some grub. Don’t worry, we won’t leave you hanging – your guide will meet you at the same spot and escort you to the Mount Hood Railroad. Next stop: the Hood River Excursion Train! If you’re not feeling the restaurant vibe, feel free to bring your own lunch. We’ll even give you the scoop on our favorite restaurant in case you’re feeling indecisive. Get ready for a ride of a lifetime! As we leave the valley floor, we’ll cruise through three miles of the picturesque main fork of the Hood River, with a 3% grade that will take you on one of the rarest switchback adventures in the United States. Not only will you be soaking in the jaw-dropping views of Mt. Hood, the tallest peak in Oregon, but we’ll also make a pit stop at The Fruit Company for a 45-60 minute break. These fruit gurus have been growing gourmet fruit for over seven decades and are so good at it, they earned Oprah’s seal of approval as one of her “favorite things” in her “O” Magazine Gift Guide. Robyn Spizman, media influencer, also couldn’t resist their charm! It’s a fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with nature and witness a working orchard in action. Trust us; you’ll want to snag some of their delicious, locally-made goodies to take home with you as souvenirs or gifts for loved ones.
