Visitors to the Basilica of Higüey will see its modern, simple yet impressive architecture, the main altar, a painting of Our Lady of Altagracia in a gold and precious stone frame, a large gilded bronze arch at the entrance, and the 45 bronze bells in its bell tower. They can also visit the Altagracia Museum and the Via Sacra, a path lined with religious sculptures.
