Welcome at Tangier. Visit of Chefchaouen, small and charming town located at 660meters high in the horn-shaped Rif cordillera, which overlooks the village. The streets, shops and bazaars stand out by the dazzling blue of the walls. Visit is included.
Depending on our arrival time in Fes we shall visit the town by a tour of the jewish neighborhood and the outside of the royal palace. We will penetrate into the big Unesco-listed Medina (old cityt) of Fes. We will visit the most typical areas:Curtidores, Peleteros, carpinteros as well as its markets, souks and old schools which are among the oldest in the world. Lunch in hotel and free afternoon. In the evening we recommend the dinner-show proposed by your guide.
Pick-up at the hotel at 8.00am heading to Merzouga crossing the Middle Atlas (cordillera of 350km). On our way we will pass through villages like Ifrane (known as the moroccan Swissland) for the architecture of its houses and Azrou one of the most famous cities of Morocco.We’ll cross the valley and the Ziz gorges and pass through Midelt and Erfoud. Once in Merzouga we will get into the desert riding camels heading to the camp where we’ll spend the night. There, in the silence of the desert we will taste an authentic meal of Morocco.
Early wake up to catch the spectacular sunrise in the desert. Back to the hostel , camel riding, we’ll have breakfast and continue to Dades via Rissani where we’ll stop to visit the traditional souk (one of the biggest in south Morocco). Then we’ll head to the Todra gorges admiring the typical Berber houses. We’ll continue towards the Dades and the Roses valleys. Arrival at Dades.
After breakfast we’ll visit the inside of Taourir Kasbah (previous home of the Marrakech pasha), discover the apartments of the pasha and of his favorites'. We will continue until the Kasbah Ait ben Haddou (Unesco-listed) very famous film location and will head to Marrakech through the mountains of the high Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Breakfast and historical tour of the monuments of Marrakech (imperial city).We will visit as well the outside of the Mosque Koutubia, the Menara gardens and the Bahia palace. The tour will end in Djema el Fna, very lively place showing acrobats, storytellers, snake charmers, dancers, musicians, food.stalls.
