    Transfer Dar es salaam to Mikumi National Park and game drive

    Mikumi National Park

    Day 1: Transfer from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi + Game Drive You will be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam in the morning and start the journey to Mikumi National Park. The drive takes approximately 6 to 7 hours through beautiful landscapes and local villages. Upon arrival in Mikumi, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive where you may spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, and more. Later, transfer to Camp Bastian for dinner and overnight stay.

    Full day game drive at Mikumi + Evening Maasai Visit

    Mikumi National Park

    After an early breakfast, you will head out for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park with a picnic lunch inside the park. Explore different areas of the park and enjoy sightings of wildlife such as lions, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, and various bird species. In the evening, you will visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditional way of life. Return to the Camp Bastian for dinner and overnight.

    Transfer to Udzungwa Mountains & Return to Mikumi

    After breakfast, depart for Udzungwa Mountains National Park (about 1.5 hours' drive). Enjoy a guided hike through the tropical forest, where you may see endemic monkeys, birds, and beautiful waterfalls like Sanje Falls. After the hike and picnic lunch, return to Mikumi in the evening for dinner and overnight at the Camp Bastian.

    Transfer from Mikumi to Nyerere National Park + Sunset Boat Safari

    After an early breakfast, depart Mikumi and drive to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve), a journey of about 6 to 7 hours through scenic landscapes. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and later enjoy a relaxing sunset boat safari along the Rufiji River — a chance to spot hippos, crocodiles, birds, and possibly elephants by the riverbanks. Dinner and overnight at the Selous Safari lodge.

    Full Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park
