    KIDDY LAND is the biggest toy store in Harajuku. In 1950, it was established as a tiny bookstore. Then they started to deal with toys, fancy goods and character items. They are also said to be the first one to introduce Christmas and Halloween events in Japan In 1983 they hosted the first ever Halloween parade in Japan.

    Takeshita street is the central shopping street of Harajuku area. From 11am to 6pm it becomes a pedestrian-only zone. There are about 100 shops in the 350m-long street.
