On this tour you will explore the historic sites in Stavanger and discover the story of the city. This is perfect for solo travelers and those traveling together! Go at your own pace. You'll get the inside scoop and local history and see the oldest part of the city, Gamle Stavanger, the oldest church in Norway, the most colorful street, the largest collection of wooden houses in Scandinavia, the old watch tower, the murals, museums, statues and of course you’ll see the harbor. As you walk you’ll learn about the fishing industry, the oil industry, the historic center, the artists, the saints arm, the food, the Vikings and the local culture. The tour takes one hour without stopping and is one mile, or one and a half kilometers. You’ll start at the oldest house and end at the Geopark.

The tour starts outside the oldest residential house in Stavanger and the oldest area of Stavanger, Gamle Stavanger. You'll hear it's history then you'll be guided through the streets of this historic town and discover it's history.
The tour ends at modern day Norway and the Norwegian Petroleum Museum. IT's close to the famous shops and parks and you'll learn how Norway found oil.
