You'll learn a lot here, But the absolute must-see is the Knife Gallery, home to the world-famous Bowie No. 1, the oldest known surviving Bowie knife forged by master bladesmith James Black around eighteen thirty in Washington, Arkansas, displayed alongside over fifty other magnificent blades including Civil War knives and modern custom works.

The building served as Arkansas's capitol until nineteen eleven, witnessing everything from the eighteen sixty-one secession convention to Union General Frederick Steele quartering troops here during the Civil War.
