Enjoy a scenic tuk-tuk ride through the Cambodian countryside of Kampot, passing traditional villages along the way.
Stop at the ancient cave known as a prehistoric site for the visit and a short caving. Visit the biggest salt field in Kampot, Secret Lake, and explore one of Kampot’s organic pepper farms—either La Plantation, the larger farm, or Bo Tree Farm, a family-run experience.

What to expect

• Hotel pick up and transfer: 15 minutes
I. Kampot Salt Fields (20 minutes)
Visit the largest salt fields in the region and learn how local workers harvest salt using traditional methods (available during dry season only). Guests are welcome to walk around, observe the process, and take photos.
• Tuk Tuk (15 minutes)
II. Limestone Cave Exploration (20–30 minutes)
Discover the ancient cave known as Phnom Kbal Romeas (“Rhinoceros Head Hill”). This site dates back to the Neolithic period (5000–3000 BC). Inside, you’ll find brick remains believed to be part of an early temple, still considered a sacred place by locals today.
• Countryside Drive (30 minutes)
Continue through the eastern Kampot countryside with a stop to learn about local livelihoods and seasonal farming activities.
III. Secret Lake (30 minutes)
Relax at the peaceful “Secret Lake,” a man-made reservoir built during the Khmer Rouge era (1975–1979). Surrounded by hills and greenery, it’s an ideal spot for a short break and photos.

IV. Kampot Pepper Farm Visit (1 hour 45 minutes)
Explore one of Kampot’s famous organic pepper farms on a guided tour. Learn about cultivation techniques, walk through the plantation, and enjoy a tasting session.
Guests can choose between two well-known farms:
- La Plantation
- BoTree
Heading back to Kampot: 40 minutes
