    Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Rose Valley - Dades Valley

    Pick up at 8:30 am from your Riad or Inn in Marrakech. We head south, crossing the spectacular High Atlas via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, where we will stop to enjoy breathtaking panoramas and take pictures. Along the way, we will visit a women’s Argan oil cooperative, where you will discover the traditional artisanal process of Argan oil production and learn its many benefits. We will then continue to the famous fortified village of Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.

    Ouarzazate

    . In the afternoon we continue to Ouarzazate, often called the Desert Gate and known as the Hollywood of Morocco because of its film studios. From here we cross the famous Oasis of Skoura, before reaching the Valley of Roses, where we will stop for coffee and discover local rose products such as rose water, perfume and soap.

    Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga – Camel Trek – Desert Camp

    After Breakfast, we continue our journey through landscapes dotted with traditional Berber kasbahs, to the spectacular Todra Gorge, famous for its imposing rock faces and magnificent scenery. This site is also very popular with climbing enthusiasts. After exploring the gorges, we continue to Merzouga, where the beautiful dunes of Erg Chebbi await you.

    Discover Todra Gorge with Locals - Tourist Information & Experience Center

    After exploring the gorge, we continue to Merzouga, where the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi await. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with traditional Moroccan mint tea. After a short break, you will start a camel trek across the Sahara dunes, lasting about 1 hour, with a stop to enjoy the magical sunset.

    Merzouga – Khamlia – Nomad Family – Fossil Mountains – Oasis – Merzouga

    Merzouga

    Early in the morning, enjoy the spectacular sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara, one of the most unforgettable moments of the trip. After Breakfast, we begin a desert exploration around Merzouga. We cross the landscapes of the black desert, visit a family of Berber nomads and share a traditional mint tea in their tent, while discovering their way of life.

    Khamlia

    We then visit the mountains of fossils, then continue to the village of Khamlia, cradle of the Gnaoua, originally from sub-Saharan Africa. You will discover their music and their haunting traditional rhythms. We then go to Lake Dayet Srij, famous for its richness of birds and where we can sometimes see flamingos.

    Lunch will include the local speciality, Berber pizza (Madfouna). In the afternoon we return to your riad in Merzouga, where you can relax or watch the sunset over the dunes.

    Merzouga – Nqoub – Agdez – Draa Valley – Marrakech

    After Breakfast we start the journey back to Marrakech with a different panoramic route. We first stop in the Berber village of Nqoub, known for its many traditional kasbahs and palm groves. The journey continues to Agdez and the beautiful Draa Valley, home to one of the longest palm groves in Morocco. We will stop there to enjoy panoramic views and take pictures. We then cross the Anti-Atlas before continuing through the High Atlas to reach Marrakech.
