Tafraout, 165 km southeast of Agadir, jewel of the Anti-Atlas, famous for its pink granite circus, lush Ammeln valley and unusual painted rocks.
Its strengths lie in its Berber authenticity, picturesque oasis and magnificent natural setting.
Nestled at 1200m altitude, the village is surrounded by huge rock formations with copper and pinkish reflections, the light is spectacular, especially at sunrise and sunset. The area is also known for the famous "Lion's Head" and "Napoleon's Hat", natural sculptures sculpted by erosion.
Visit of a Collective Fortified Attics called "Agadir" or "Igoudar" in the plural, dating from 9 centuries, these are masterpieces of Amazigh architecture, conceived as banks and traditional fortresses of the Anti-Atlas and Souss, that the inhabitants use to stole grain and valuables.
