Soak up the spirit of Speyside on a 3-Day small-group whisky tour! Explore Scotland’s principle malt whisky producing region, which is noted for its elegant and subtle-tasting whiskies. Your tour will depart from Edinburgh with a maximum of 16 people and head to the north-east area of Scotland. The region of Speyside follows the path of the River Spey, stretching from the west of the Cairngorm National Park to the east coast. Boasting an impressive scene of winding lochs, green glens and dramatic peaks, the region has something for everyone. Enjoy visits to five of the region’s famous whisky distilleries, Lindores Abbey, Glenlivet Distillery, Cardhu Distillery, Speyside Cooperage, Dalwhinnie Distillery and enjoy tastings and samples. Speyside is home to another 42 operating distilleries, so there’s certainly plenty more to see if time permits!

Continue north towards the UK's largest National Park, Cairngorms National Park. This will be a stunning drive, so keep your cameras ready. You stop in Braemar and have some time for lunch and a little explore.
After lunch in Braemar, you can sample the delights of the Whisky Castle. This whisky emporium has been selling the finest malt whiskies for over 120 years and is stocking over 600 malts. Savour three Speyside whiskies to get familiar with a distinctive taste of this region.

After lunch in nearby Aberlour, we travel along the Spey River to Craigellachie for a visit to the Speyside Cooperage, where you see another aspect of the whisky making process. This is one of the last barrel-making places in Scotland that still uses traditional methods as well as modern techniques. From shaping to charring, learn the secrets of the craft that goes back 5,000 years as you explore this unique place.
Our final stop is Cardhu, a renowned Speyside malt whisky producer. Hear the story of Helen Cumming, a pivotal figure in the distillery's success, explore how Cardhu became key in blends like Johnnie Walker. And most importantly, embark on their mystery whisky challenge experience that includes a tour of the distillery and tasting of five whiskies.
By now you've become well-versed in whisky tasting, so a visit to Dalwhinnie will take you to the next level as you enjoy a masterclass experience arranged especially for Rabbie's customers; whisky and chocolate tasting. This delectable combination will make you discover the nuances of flavours so characteristic to Dalwhinnie's spirits. You will also get your own souvenir glass to take home with you to commemorate the experience.
We continue south to Perthshire, often referred to as "Big Tree Country, towards the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry for lunch.
We head to the Hermitage, where you can take a fantastic woodland walk amongst majestic Douglas firs and ancient oaks leading up to the stunning Black Linn Falls.
Next, we find the gorgeous cathedral town of Dunkeld situated on the banks of the River Tay. You have the chance to explore the architecturally fascinating cathedral or walk the quaint streets of this picturesque village.
