Choose from two unique experiences:

Wild Kiwi Encounter: Embark on an unforgettable journey into the wild landscapes of Rakiura Stewart Island as day turns to night in search of the elusive Southern brown kiwi (tokoeka). Begin with a scenic pre-sunset cruise around nearby islands, spotting wildlife such as albatross, penguins, tītī (mutton bird), and fur seals. After an introduction to kiwi behaviour and conservation, arrive at Little Glory Cove for a guided evening walk through coastal forest and along a secluded beach, where expert guides help maximise your chances of seeing kiwi in the wild.

Wild Kiwi & Culture Encounter: Explore Oneke (“The Neck”), a culturally significant coastal landscape. Hear stories of Māori and European history before a night-time kiwi search. After your walk, enjoy a warm drink in the traditional whare before cruising back to Oban beneath the night sky.

Important Info: Approx. 2 hours walking. Tracks may be uneven or muddy—sturdy footwear essential.
