The Trekking beginning from the Namal Pokuna Rajamahaviharaya. Namal Pokuna Rajamahaviharaya Located East side of the Polonnaruwa City. It is 15 Km away from the Polonnaruwa Sacred City.
After 20 Minute walk, in the Fist Part of the Trekking, you will see the Ancient Monument Standing Along in Side the Forest. This is Namal Pokuna Monastry Complex that Belong to 3rd Century BC. This complex Include a Ancient Gard stone, Moonstone, Stupa, Bodigara, Poyage and Dammasaba Mandapa.
There is a Pond very next to this Complex. This Pond is the Namal Pokuna Pond. According to the Chronicles the Water of this Pond was used for the Consumption of the Monks of the Monastery Complex
The next Areas are Blue Water Pond Area and Meditative Cave Area.
From here You have to walk trough the Forest.
After You arrive to the top Part of the Mountain You will see more ponds, Meditative Caves and Beautiful Views.
