  From there, we will head to the Plaza del Obradoiro, the heart of Santiago and the most emblematic image of the city. Admire the spectacular Baroque facade of the Cathedral while your guide brings centuries of history to life. You will also discover the importance of the majestic buildings surrounding the square, including the old pilgrim hospital, one of the oldest hotels in the west!

  Our tour continues through the Plaza de la Azabachería, where you will get a closer look at the origins of the Camino de Santiago and the incredible tradition of pilgrimage that has shaped the city for centuries.   We will go through the old Jewish quarter of the city towards the Plaza de Cervantes, where the town hall used to be. But this Plaza hides darker stories linked to the Holy Inquisition. We will tell you everything.

  We will walk through Rúa Nova, one of the oldest streets in the city. Here we will see, among other emblematic and historic buildings, the Church of Santa María Salomé.

  On Rúa do Vilar we will discover the Pazo de Vaamonde, an elegant building that holds a curious connection with the history of medicine in Galicia. Here the doctor who introduced X-rays to the region had his consultation, a fascinating story that will allow us to discover a lesser-known side of Santiago.

  Parque de la Alameda

  Our route will end at the emblematic Alameda Park, one of Santiago's most beloved green spaces and a place closely linked to the city's history. Here we will discover the fascinating story hidden behind the famous sculpture of As Dúas Marías, two of the most unique and remembered characters of Compostela. To finish, we will approach Paseo da Ferradura, one of the best viewpoints in the city, from where we will enjoy a spectacular view of the Cathedral and the historic center of Santiago.
