Day 1
Arrival – Transfer to Hotel

You begin your magical holiday as you board your flight to Tanzania; the Heart of an African Safari. On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will clear with the customs and Immigration as Gilmag Safaris’ representative will be waiting to meet you. We shall then drive you to Arusha City for dinner and overnight at Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge. You will be briefed about your upcoming safari at the lodge.

Day 2
Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you private tour guide will pick you up and drive you to Tarangire National Park (approximately 125 Kilometres from Arusha City) with packed lunch to begin your game viewing. We will then enjoy our picnic lunch overlooking the Tarangire River, before enjoying the afternoon game drive. Among the thousands of Baobab that mark the landscape, we will enjoy Tanzania’s largest concentration of elephants. In addition to elephants, leopards, ostrich, lions, warthog, zebras and cheetahs are common sightings in Tarangire. If we are fortunate, we may encounter the much endangered wild dog. As this park is slightly off the main safari route, majority of travelers leave this out in favor of the nearer ones, which leaves major parts of Tarangire untouched. At around 4.30PM, we shall exit the park and drive to Kitela Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3
Ngorongoro crater tour – Serengeti National Park

Ngorongoro Crater
After early breakfast (6.00 AM), we shall depart the lodge with lunch boxes and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will descend 600 metres into the crater, spend the day at the floor on the crater (the 8th wonder of the world) exploring its rich flora and fauna. This is the best place to encounter the endangered black rhino and flamingos in Lake Magadi. Other animals include Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, warthogs, hippos, zebras, waterbucks, hyenas, jackals and if lucky enough, lions will be sleeping by your vehicle for shade. In the evening around 3 PM, you will ascend the crater, exit the park and drive to Central Serengeti for dinner and overnight at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge

Day 4
Full Day in Central Serengeti

Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will leave the lodge with lunch boxes and enjoy a full day game drive in the Serengeti National Park covering as much area as possible. The wildebeest migration normally pass through the area in April, May and November, however the Seronera area is within reach of both the southern plains and the Mara River on the North. The resident game in the area is phenomenal and species such as elephant, buffalo, gazelle, zebra, lion and a variety of other predators and herbivores can be seen here all year round. Explore the range of different habitats that include swamps, woodland, soda lakes and the world famous Serengeti short grass plains. See great herds of wildebeest and zebra. Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5
Serengeti National Park – Karatu Area

After early breakfast, you will depart the lodge with lunch boxes for half day game viewing in Serengeti. In the afternoon, you will exit the park and drive to Karatu via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will arrive at Kitela Lodge in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 6
Manyara National Park – Kilimanjaro International Airport

Lake Manyara National Park
After early breakfast, you will depart the lodge with lunch boxes and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing. This park is known for its huge soda lake filled with pink-hued flamingos, large population of baboons, incredible birdlife and breath-taking views. Here you will be able to see elephants, giraffes, hippos, impalas, dik dik, waterbucks, flamingos and monkeys. You may also encounter the rare tree climbing lions and leopards. There are also over 500 species of birds in this park. After full day game viewing, you will exit the parkand drive back to Arusha for drop off to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your flight to next destination.
