08:00–08:30: Pick-up by our friendly guide to begin your Hanoi city tour. 08:45: Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, located on Golden Fish Island by West Lake. 09:30: Explore the Ho Chi Minh Complex – view the Mausoleum (if open), stroll through the gardens, and see the houses where Uncle Ho lived and worked. End the visit at the unique One Pillar Pagoda. Note: Dress modestly (shoulders to knees). The Mausoleum is closed Mondays, Fridays, and from June 15–Aug 15 annually. 11:15: Discover Vietnam’s diverse cultures at the Vietnam Ethnology Museum (replaced with the Women’s Museum on Mondays). 12:45: Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch with 8 traditional dishes. 14:00–14:15: Visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university from the 11th century. 15:15: Learn about wartime history at the Hoa Lo Prison Museum (aka “Hanoi Hilton”). 16:15–16:30: Tour ends. Return to your hotel.
