05:00 PM – Check-in & Free Evening Return to Dong Hoi or Phong Nha Town. Check into your hotel or homestay and enjoy a relaxing evening — stroll by the riverside, try local specialties, or simply unwind after a day of exploration.
06:30 AM – Depart from Dong Hoi Travel south to Quang Tri, known as the “Land of Fire.” Once a fierce battlefield, it now stands as a symbol of peace and resilience.
07:30 AM – Quang Tri Citadel Visit the ancient citadel, where the legendary 81-day battle of 1972 took place. Walk through its memorials as your guide shares powerful stories of courage and sacrifice.
08:30 AM – Route 9 & Da Krong Valley Drive along part of the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail, passing misty mountains and ethnic minority villages that showcase the wild beauty of Central Vietnam. 10:30 AM – Khe Sanh Combat Base Explore Ta Con Airfield, a former U.S. base featuring bunkers, trenches, and aircraft relics from the fierce 1968 Khe Sanh Campaign — one of the war’s most intense battles
