Your adventure begins with a private pickup from your hotel in Hanoi. Sit back and enjoy a comfortable drive through scenic mountain landscapes as you make your way to Mu Cang Chai. Arrive at your homestay in the late afternoon or evening, where you’ll be welcomed by a H’mong family. Take time to rest or explore the surroundings before gathering for a warm, home-cooked dinner prepared with fresh local ingredients. Depending on availability, you may also enjoy traditional H’mong music performed on native instruments — a memorable introduction to life in the highlands.

After breakfast, set off with your local H’mong guide for a private trek through the valleys of La Pan Tan and Mu Cang Chai, home to some of Vietnam’s most spectacular rice terraces. Stop at famous viewpoints such as Đồi Mâm Xôi (Raspberry Hill) and La Pan Tan viewpoint — iconic spots for panoramic views and photos. The trek also takes you through H’mong villages, where daily life unfolds — farmers in the rice fields, children playing, and women weaving at home. Depending on the season, you may even join local activities like planting or harvesting rice by hand. Your English-speaking guide will share stories about H’mong culture, food, and seasonal traditions, giving you deeper insight into life in the highlands. In the late afternoon, return to the homestay for dinner before a private car transfer back to Hanoi or onward to Sapa, Ha Giang, or Mai Chau.
