1San Jose
Welcome to San José, Costa Rica. Meet and greet at Juan Santamaría International Airport, followed by a shared transfer to your hotel in San José. Located in the Central Valley, San José is one of Latin America’s most cosmopolitan cities. Its central location provides convenient access to historic buildings, museums, theaters, handicraft markets, parks, shopping centers and a wide variety of restaurants. No meals are included today.

2Tortuguero
Early morning departure from San José through Braulio Carrillo National Park. Upon arrival in Guápiles, enjoy a traditional Costa Rican breakfast. Continue through banana plantations to the dock, where you will board a boat for an approximately 90-minute journey along the rivers and canals leading to Tortuguero. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided visit to the picturesque village of Tortuguero. Dinner is included at the lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included today.

3Tortuguero National Park
Breakfast at the lodge. This morning, enjoy a guided boat tour through the canals of Tortuguero National Park, one of Costa Rica’s most biologically diverse protected areas. The canals are surrounded by lush tropical forest and provide excellent opportunities to observe wildlife. Later, take a guided nature walk along the lodge’s private trails. Afterward, enjoy free time at the lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included today.

4Puerto Limon
Breakfast at the lodge. In the morning, travel by boat back to the main dock and continue by ground transportation to Guápiles, where lunch will be served. In the afternoon, take a shared transfer to Puerto Viejo on Costa Rica’s Southern Caribbean coast. The region is known for its colorful beaches, coral reefs, coastal vegetation, Afro-Caribbean culture and traditional dishes such as patí and rice and beans.

5Puerto Limon
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a free day in Puerto Viejo to relax on its beautiful beaches and experience the region’s tropical scenery, Afro-Caribbean culture, cuisine and music. Optional activities are available upon request.

6La Fortuna de San Carlos
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, take a shared transfer to La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano region. Along the way, admire agricultural plantations, ornamental plant nurseries, cattle farms and tropical landscapes. The Arenal region is renowned for its impressive volcano, hot springs, lake and abundant natural beauty.

7Arenal Volcano National Park
Breakfast at the hotel. Begin with a 3.5-kilometer guided hike through primary forest and trails formed by solidified lava at Mirador El Silencio. The route provides excellent views of Arenal Volcano and the surrounding landscape. Continue to La Fortuna Waterfall, famous for its impressive 70-meter cascade. You may swim in the natural pool or enjoy the scenery before having lunch at a nearby restaurant. The excursion includes transportation, a bilingual guide, admission fees and lunch.

8Manuel Antonio
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, take a shared transfer from Arenal to Manuel Antonio.
