We also would need your passport information, nationality, gender, and details of your Chinese visa to be able to facilitate Tibet travel permit
We will pick you up at the crossing from Nepal to Tibet at Kyirong (Gyirong) Resa border. We will be waiting for you upon crossing with your Tibetan Travel permit.
All subsequent days we will pick you up at the hotel
We will pick you up from the Gyirong resa border and drive to the town of Gyirong where we are going to visit Pakba (Paba) monastery and Kyirong (Gyirong) valley. We will subsequently drive you to your hotel to rest and adjust to the altitude of over 2000 meters
drive from Kyirong (Gyirong) and cross Kondthang Lamu pass at over 5100 meters above the sea level. After driving for 2 more hours we will enjoy the view of Peikucuo (Paiku) lakethat has unusual green color.
One hour away from lake Paiku we will pass by and enjoy the view of the Mount Shishapangma with the elevation over 8000 meters. This mountain belongs to Himalaya range.
At the Old Tingri town we will enter the Mount Everest preservation area. We will enjoy the view of Mount Everest base camp and will visit Rongbuk monastery - the world's highest and closest to mount Everest monastery.
Sera Monastery is located 5 kilometers to the north of Lhasa city at the bottom of Sera Wutse. According to the legend the monastery was built during a big hailstorm which gave it a name Sera (“hailstorm”). Jamchen Choeje Shakya Yeshi, the disciple of master Tsongkhapa built it in 1419. It is one of the six “Gelugpa” Yellow hat sect monasteries in Tibet. The monastery used to be a house for 5500 monks. The main chapel or shrine of Sera is Tamdrin “the horse-necked, Hayagriva”, it is said that Tamdrin was dug out from underground just after the monastery was built. Every year a lot of pilgrims and tourists visit Sera.
Norbulingka park in Tibetan means Jewel garden and served as a summer residence of Dalai Lamas. It is located in the vicinity of Lhasa city and can be visited as a part of Lhasa city tour. Norbulingka was built in 18th century at the time of seventh Dalai lama. Norbulingka has been reconstructed for 200 years and currently covers the the area of 360.000 square meters. Territory of Norbulingka include Kelsang Podrang, Chensal Podrang, and Tagden Mingyur Podrang: three different palaces that were built for 7th, 13th, and 14th Dalai lamas. Every summer Dalai lamas moved their residence from Potala Palace to Norbulingka park. Tibetan traditional opera and dance performances take place in Norbulingka every year for seven days from June 30th to July 6th. A lot of people visit the palace during this exciting period. It is a great place which makes it very exciting place to visit and enjoy.
