In the morning at 8 o'clock you leave Marrakech in a minibus and drive through the green foothills of the High Atlas on a winding pass road over the Tizi n'Tichka towards the south. In Telouet visit of the Kasbah El Glaoui and picnic. Continue through the Ounila valley to Aït Ben Haddou. Visit of the ancient Ksar and overnight in an inn in Ouarzazat. Travel time: 4 hours

2M'Hamid
The minibus will take you further south through the beautiful Drâa Valley, through old villages and past palm groves to the edge of the desert at M'hamid, the meeting point with the dromedaries and the escort team. After loading the dromedaries, hike another hour or so to Rass Enakhl, the camp for the first night. Travel time: 5 hours │ Hiking time: 1 hour.

You will hike first over sand dunes and through a small oasis, later over a dry plain and again through dunes to the camp at an old caravanserai near Marabout Sidi Naji. Lunch at the camp. Afternoon at leisure. Hiking time: 5 hrs.

This beautiful and long stage begins with a hike over dunes. Later, the trail takes you across a vast dry plain and past the ruins of an ancient souk. Lunch on the way. Continue the hike to camp next to the large Erg Zeher dune. Hiking time: 6.5 hrs

Across the large dune Erg Zeher, a dry plain and more dunes you will reach the Drâa riverbed. Along the riverbed you will hike to the camp at Erg Smer. Lunch at camp, afternoon at leisure. Hiking time: 4.5 hrs.

In the morning you will cross the Drâa riverbed and walk through a seemingly endless dry plain. Lunch on the way. In the afternoon, continue over sand dunes to camp at Chegaga. Hiking time: 4.5 hrs

A jeep will take us to Foum Zguid. From there we continue by minibus to Ouarzazat (or Ait Ben Haddou), where we spend the night in a hostel Travel time: 6 hrs

The minibus will take us back to Marrakech through the Ounila Valley via Telouet. Travel time: 4 hrs Overnight stay: not included.
