If you gather at Hot Yuda Ekimae Yume Plaza, drive from there to the parking lot of Usadaira Midday for 1 hour and walk for another 1 hour to reach the vast beech forest in the foot of the Ou Mountains. .. In the past, cattle were grazing and charcoal-grilled, so there is almost no undergrowth and it is a walkable forest. However, it is now a spot that locals rarely visit. Also, since there are almost no signs and the beech forest looks similar, it is easy to get lost without a guide. In this forest, which everyone knows now, you can get energy from the giant trees by going around the beech's mother tree, a large katsura with a circumference of more than 12 m.

What to expect

From the parking lot to the giant forest, there is almost no course maintained, and it is easy to get lost. After crossing the suspension bridge and climbing a few small climbs, you can see a comfortable beech forest without undergrowth. If you walk through the beech forest with similar scenery, you will come across a beech mother tree, a large katsura tree with a circumference of more than 12 m. If you have time, spend a relaxing time while watching the water source that springs from the beech forest. The beech forest on a rainy day is also wonderful and you can also see the mysterious phenomenon of stem flow.
