Just about one and half hour drive from Accra to the village, it presents to tourists the opportunity to see countryside with beautiful landscapes while driving to the village.
At Torgorme, the lovely and cheerfully community members gathered to welcome you with traditional drumming and dancing to the ceremonial ground. The ceremony starts by pouring of libation to Almighty God and our Ancestors to ask them for success of the ceremony. After that, the community elder will start to explain how a newly born child is named according to Ewe customs and traditions.

This naming traditional naming ceremony is done at Torgorme village in the Volta region of Ghana about 1 hour 30 minutes' drive from Accra where you will have opportunity to see the countryside and the lovely local people. Here, the community gathered in their numbers to welcome the guest which the organizer or the community leader will explain the process of naming a newly born child according to Ewe tradition. The ceremony begins with pouring of libations and proceed with drumming and dancing to cheer up the occasion. Tourist will be taken through making of traditional local pot by pottery makers in the village. Feel free to associate yourself with the locals and learn more from them.
After the ceremony, we shall go to a resort at Akosombo to have our lunch and do cruise on the volta river. the largest in West Africa
