Day 1
The privilege of seen a Condor.

Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Quito at 7:00 a.m. We will drive you directly to the town of Pintag, where you will start to ascend up to "Antisana Reserve".

At an altitude of 3.810 meters above sea level (12,500 ft), you will have big opportunities to find interesting wildlife such as: black-chested buzzard eagles, carunculated caracaras, giant hummingbirds, and of course, the majestic Andean condors, considered the largest flying birds of the world, and one of the rarest bird species that has possibly survived since the era of the mega beasts (10.000 years aprox.)! You will walk also towards the Mica Lagoon (4.050 m - 13,287 ft), result of the end of the last ice age, to get a better view of Antisana volcano and to observe water bird species such as: Andean gulls, Andean lapwings, Andean coots, Andean teals, and black-faces ibis, which curiously live in Chile and only in the Antisana Volcano in Ecuador! Then we will descend to the Isco canyon, where condors nest! After enjoying more views of these huge fabulous birds, you will have a typical meal at a local restaurant.

Termas de Papallacta
Then we finally start the drive towards “Termas de Papallacta”, where you'll stay the overnight in order to enjoy the healing properties of its natural hot springs! There will be more opportunities to spot other interesting hummingbirds flying around the gardens.

Day 2
A Day to Relax and More Adventure.

Termas de Papallacta
Papallacta is a small village located in the eastern Andes at an altitude of 3.300 meters above sea level (10,826 ft). In addition to its magnificent surroundings, it is located in the rolling green elevations of the pre-mountain subtropical rainforest. Before breakfast you can hike along marked trails and spring mountain slopes, observing the flora and fauna of the Andean forests! During the hike it is possible to see the masked trogon!

Termas de Papallacta
Then the next couple of hours in the morning you'll have time to relax at the SPA, with a previous reservation. You can again plunge into the depths of the thermoludique pools, where its waters emerge from internal geological layers through fissures to the surface, with a unique healing potential and beneficial effects of clean air!

Quito Old Town
At 10:30 a.m. we continue with our spirit of adventure visiting specific birds' leks where you could find approximately 15 different species of hummingbirds, 2 species of flower piercers, 1 specie of jay, 2 species of ducks, etc. You will be back in Quito approximately at 4:30 p.m.
